Here is a collection of the awesome wildlife I have found when exploring nature in Southern Oregon. Enjoy.

One day I went on a day trip and found tons of dragonflys emergining from their nymph stage and stretching their new wings

This seal popped up while I was exploring the docks in Cresent City

A killdeer, which is like a tiny wee little road runner on the top of Pilot Rock

A western pond turtle that was just rereleased into Lithia Park in the spring

Cool capture on the dragonfly. I don’t often see them emerging, but I see the exoskeletons they leave behind. I think perhaps the ones around here emerge on a varied schedule with just a few each day though it could be that I missed the massive emergence back in the late spring when the temperatures probably reached a certain level. I’m going to try to remember to look for them next spring and early summer.
Hey, Thom! I wonder if you still remember me, Joey. We worked together at cascade for a while a few years ago. Do you remember? I was a student from Korea, and we worked together and once had a pirate party with lots of friends. I hope you still remember me, and you are one of the buddies at myspace.com, so I could come over to see your gorgeous pictures. I just wanted to say hi!
I love these photos, Thom and the captions too! : )
Amazing. How can I get a copy of your dragonfly?
